Dr. Joshua E. Crowder – Chattanooga Eye Doctor
Dr. Joshua E. Crowder, O.D., earned dual degrees in chemistry and biology from Georgia State University while volunteering with Prevent Blindness, a charitable organization that specializes in providing eye care for the less fortunate. His experiences at the nonprofit ignited a lifelong passion for eye care, and he subsequently enrolled at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry. There, he earned a bachelor’s in vision science and his Doctor of Optometry.
Dr. Crowder went on to complete several externships, and the experience and training he gained in these programs significantly rounded out his skill set. He trained in low vision at the Broward Lighthouse for the Blind, ocular disease at Broward County Hospital, and vision therapy at both the Nova Eye Care Institute and The Eye Center in Pembroke Pines, FL.
Now, Dr. Crowder and his wife have moved back to their hometown, and he is thrilled to be serving the community he grew up in. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Crowder can often be found kayaking, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters, Lily and Hazel.
